Chinese government changes ACLE dates

All China Leather Exhibition is the biggest and most important leather fair in China. Veco will be there, as you probably read from our home page’s banners. But we have important informations: last week the State Council of the Central Government of the People’s Republic of China decided to institute the commemoration for the 70^th anniversary of the Chinese people’s victory in the “War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression as well as the World Anti-Fascist War”, as defined by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Chinese’s government decided to place this national commemorations in September 3, right in the middle of the period during which it should take place the Shanghai’s “All China Leather Exhibition”. Therefore the organizers of the most important leather fair in China managed to move the dates of ACLE 2015 to 31 August – 2 September, from Monday to Wednesday. The leather fair will take place, as usually, in Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong, Shanghai, China. Veco will partecipate also this year, so follow us in our blog and keep in touch to have more informations in the next months.

What is polyurethane resin?

Polyurethanes are a highly useful family of polymers – materials that result from the linking of a chain of simple, repetitive molecules. These materials can appear in many forms and be used for a variety of things, depending on the way their properties are manipulated. Polyurethane resin, a synthetically-produced substance, is one of the forms polymers appear as.
Polyurethane resin is very versatile because it can be used to produce a range of items, such as inks and plastics. This is possible because the material can be manipulated greatly, changing its properties such as hardness and elasticity. Often, it is produced in liquid form and can be poured into moulds. When used in this way, the material is very impressionable, meaning the slightest detail, such as a small crack, can be seen in the finished product.

There are many advantages to these resins. They are often used for their chemical, oil and grease resistance, and are typically good at resisting abrasion and, therefore, are not easily torn. This explains why they are often used to produce synthetic rubbers. Furthermore, they can be used to create strong adhesives.

About Guangzhou International Leather Exhibition

Guangzhou is an exhibition purely for the footwear and leather industries. The 2015 exhibition features displays and exhibits from more than 1,200 suppliers and manufacturers.
